Department whose names are given in the enclosed letter

for the purpose of being medically examined. The

letter is to be left with the Consulting Physician,

and you will be required to pay him a fee of one guinea

and a half. He will send his report direct to this

De partment.

A medical history sheet is also enclosed.

It should be filled up and handed to the Consulting

Physician at the time of the examination.

5. If you are finally selected for the appointment

you will be provided with a free passage to Hong Kong

by the vessel sailing from London on the 11th of

November, subject to your signing an undertaking to

refund the cost in the event of your leaving the

service of the Hong Kong Government within three years

from the date of your arrival in the Colony for any

reason other than mental or physical infirmity.

6. I am to request that you will inform this

Department immediately whether you accept the appoint-

ment on these conditions.
